Turning Point sponsors "Building Strong Families" Workshops
Whether you are in a strong relationship and want to make it even better, or are having marriage or relationship problems, the "Building Strong Families" workshops are designed to help teach powerful information and tools for building and maintaining a loving and successful relationship.
The primary workshops are Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) and Couple Communication. In the coming year, we will be launching two new workshops: Parent/Youth Communication and Youth Life Skills.
"Building Strong Families" Workshops are for:
- Premarital couples
- Newlywed couples
- Long married couples
- Troubled couples
- Couples in a committed relationship
Marriage and relationship education teaches couples information
and skills that will help them create and maintain a strong, stable,
satisfying relationship.
PREP Workshops teaches couples:
- Communicate your needs and wants in a relationship
- Resolve conflict effectively and reduce arguments
- Solve problems as a team
- Keep fun, friendship and intimacy in your relationship
Couple Communication Workshops teaches couples:
- Reduce disagreements and tension
- Develop confidence in your ability to effectively communicate with each other and your children
- Expand understanding of yourself and your partner
- Create faster and better resolutions to conflict
10 Great Dates provide couples with:
- 10 marriage enriching themes to revitalize your relationship on 10 fun, great dates
- Ways to reclaim the spark, connection and creativity in your relationship
- Marital coping systems, including anger and conflict management
- The book 10 Great Dates, created by Claudia & David Arp, includes tear-out dating exercises
